Only students with documented disabilities who have been approved for testing accommodations for the semester are eligible to utilize these testing services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading  wsu-heading--style-marked\" id=\"nav\">Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\" wsu-list--columns-2\">\n<li><a href=\"#student\">Students<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#instructor\">Faculty<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#saoffice\">Access Services<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#test\">Scheduling a Test<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<section  class=\"wsu-section  wsu-width--full\"  >\r\n    <div class=\"wsu-section__inner wsu-width--content\">    \n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"student\">Student Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Talk to instructors about the Alternative Testing Agreement, specifically plans for testing in the Testing Center of the Library, at the beginning of each term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide your testing schedule by emailing&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:spok.sserv.test@wsu.edu\">spok.sserv.test@wsu.edu<\/a>&nbsp;or bringing a copy of your syllabi with testing dates to SAC 145.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask faculty to email the test (or test password) and instructions to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:spok.sserv.test@wsu.edu\">spok.sserv.test@wsu.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notify the Access Services (<a href=\"mailto:spok.sserv.test@wsu.edu\">spok.sserv.test@wsu.edu<\/a>) if a scheduled test is cancelled or if you decide to take the test or quiz in class.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show up on time for the exam. Faculty will be contacted for late arrivals to see whether testing should proceed or not.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta  wsu-text-align--right\" >\n\t<a \t\t\t\t\thref=\"#nav\"\t\n\t\tclass=\"wsu-button  wsu-button--style-outline wsu-button--size-small\">\n\t\t\t\n\t\tback to top\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"wsu-icon wsu-i-arrow-up\"><\/i>\n\t\t\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div><\/section>\n\n<section  class=\"wsu-section  wsu-width--full wsu-color-background--white\"  >\r\n    <div class=\"wsu-section__inner wsu-width--content\">    \n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"instructor\">Faculty Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Student will initiate meeting to discuss Letter of Accommodation and testing at the beginning of the semester, or as soon as the Accommodations are approved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the Alternative Testing Agreement (ATA)for each class in which you are the instructor of record. This is completed in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/olympic.accessiblelearning.com\/WSU\/instructor\">MyAccess<\/a>\u00a0(See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-spokane\/uploads\/sites\/471\/2017\/11\/QUICK-Instructions-to-Complete-the-ATA.pdf\">instructions to complete the ATA<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide testing password or pdf of the test&nbsp;<strong>no later than 24 hours<\/strong>&nbsp;from the scheduled test time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrange for alternate test day and times as necessary. See \u201cScheduling Tests\u201d below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta  wsu-text-align--right\" >\n\t<a \t\t\t\t\thref=\"#nav\"\t\n\t\tclass=\"wsu-button  wsu-button--style-outline wsu-button--size-small\">\n\t\t\t\n\t\tback to top\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"wsu-icon wsu-i-arrow-up\"><\/i>\n\t\t\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div><\/section>\n\n<section  class=\"wsu-section  wsu-width--full\"  >\r\n    <div class=\"wsu-section__inner wsu-width--content\">    \n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"saoffice\">Access Services Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Begin and end the test according to the specific instructions of faculty and the student\u2019s approved accommodations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold students\u2019 belongings not allowed in exam.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assure that the Faculty Testing Room Instructions are followed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold for pick up or deliver the completed test according to faculty instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta  wsu-text-align--right\" >\n\t<a \t\t\t\t\thref=\"#nav\"\t\n\t\tclass=\"wsu-button  wsu-button--style-outline wsu-button--size-small\">\n\t\t\t\n\t\tback to top\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"wsu-icon wsu-i-arrow-up\"><\/i>\n\t\t\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div><\/section>\n\n<section  class=\"wsu-section  wsu-width--full wsu-background-color--transparent wsu-color-background--white\"  >\r\n    <div class=\"wsu-section__inner wsu-width--content\">    \n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"test\">Scheduling a Test<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are expected to test in the Student Affairs Testing Center at the same time the rest of the class is testing unless faculty have arranged an alternate date or time with the student and indicated the alternate date or time on the proctoring instructions. The testing room is available during business hours (<strong>7:30 AM to 5:00 PM<\/strong>). <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-note  wsu-note--border-autumn\">\n\t\t\t<i class=\"wsu-note__icon wsu-icon wsu-i-profile\" aria-label=\"Icon label\"><\/i>\n\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-note__title\">\n\t\t\tQuestions?\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\n\n<p>If you have questions about procedures or if you need assistance determining the best way to provide approved accommodations for a student, please contact <strong>Jane Summers<\/strong> at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:spokane.access@wsu.edu\">spokane.access@wsu.edu<\/a>\u00a0or <a href=\"tel:509-358-7537\">509-358-7537<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Students may schedule exams within the parameters the instructor has designated in the Alternate Testing Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-note  wsu-note--border-autumn\">\n\t\t\t<i class=\"wsu-note__icon wsu-icon wsu-i-alert-notification\" aria-label=\"Icon label\"><\/i>\n\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wsu-note__title\">\n\t\t\tPlease Note: Arriving On Time\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\n\n<p>While the instructor may allow the student to choose an exam start time or date within designated parameters listed in the Alternate Testing Agreement, it is the <strong>student\u2019s responsibility<\/strong> to arrive to the test at the time which the <strong>student requested and was approved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Only instructor approved resources are allowed in Testing Area during exams. These approved resources are noted on the Alternate Testing Agreement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Store ALL personal belongings with the exam proctor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proctoring Staff may ask students to remove for inspection, jackets, scarves, and hats. Proctoring Staff may ask the student taking the exam to shake-out, pat, or smooth down clothing their clothing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proctoring Staff may inspect\/restrict any item not specifically listed as an approved resource by the instructor on the Alternate Testing Agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All students must abide by the WSU\u2019s Community Standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students found utilizing unsanctioned materials while testing will result in your Instructor and the Office of Community Standards being notified in writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exam Request Deadlines<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>All exam requests need to be submitted at least 5 business days before the in-class exam. A business day refers to dates and times the Office is open (Monday &#8211; Friday, <strong>7:30 AM to 5:00 PM<\/strong>; holidays are not considered business days).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Exam Request Deadline<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadline to submit requests for Final Exams is\u00a0<strong>5:00 P.M., the Friday <em>before<\/em> Deadweek<\/strong>.
