CAPo Meeting

The second meeting of the new Career Advancement for Postdocs – CAPo – group will feature a Q&A with Kai-Siang Chen, Ph.D., who recently completed his doctoral degree work in molecular and cell biology at the University of California Berkeley and who is now a scientific consultant at Inscopix Inc.
The Q&A will focus on Chen’s transition from academia to his current job.
All who are interested are welcome to join the discussion at 4 p.m., Thursday, July 26, at The Globe Bar & Kitchen. Food and drink will be individual responsibility, but please RSVP here.

CAPo was formed to serve as a resource for postdoctoral support. Discussions will primarily focus on postdoctoral-related concepts, but the group welcomes those from all career stages. Topics will be group-driven and will cover a wide range of subjects from new experimental techniques to career development and next stage preparedness. Some meetings will be led by trainees and others will include PIs and invited speakers. In order to promote a constructive environment, all meetings will be casual and sensitive content will be kept confidential.
