New Employee Orientation

New Employee Orientation is a three-part workshop over the course of on day. The morning portion is applicable to all employees. Attendees split off into two different retirement sections in the afternoon, depending on each employment type. See more details and registration information here. Know your City Part II – Candidate Forum on Science and Health Policy

HRS Training – Effective Communications Part 1

Effective communications training will provide you with skills for communicating when the outcome is important, opinions and options vary, and the emotion of the situation makes the conversation difficult to have. You will learn how to improve open dialogue and engagement in a way that will help you to talk with anyone about anything. This is an in-person training taught by Laura Hamilton, SPHR, SHRM-CP and certified Crucial Conversations trainer. HRS Training – Intro to WSU Accounting Systems

This course provides a high level overview of the purpose of various WSU mainframe accounting systems such as: DEPPS, BALANCES, FACTS, SCBAIMS, PROPERTY, PAPR, myWSU, BPS. It provides an introduction to university accounting, including types of funds, how program codes work, and where to go for answers to your accounting questions. HRS Training – Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct Prevention

The goal of this training is to assist WSU in maintaining a safe and respectful working and learning environment. It describes different types of discrimination and harassment, including prohibited personal behaviors, identifies key WSU Executive Policies addressing these topics, and provides links to specific offices and resources available to help in cases of alleged discrimination, harassment, and misconduct.
