Sleep and Performance Research Seminar Series

Dr. Tarja Stenberg (Porkka-Heiskanen) will present “Microglia reactions to sleep deprivation in different brain areas.” Dr. Stenberg (Porkka-Heiskanen) gained her MD and PhD degrees at the University of Helsinki. She moved to Northwestern University, Evanston, IL for a postdoctoral fellowship 1990 – 1992 and to Harvard Medical School as associate professor 1995-1997. She is presently a senior researcher at the University Of Helsinki, Finland, leading a sleep research team, Sleep Team Helsinki, as part of the larger research program “Sleepwell” established by the Medical Faculty of University of Helsinki. Opioid Use Disorder Conference

The Understanding Opioid Use Disorder conference brings together diverse partners to outline strategies and lay the foundation of lasting partnerships to identify patients in need, treat OUD, and aid in long-term recovery from opioid dependence. It includes both presentations and interactive workshops to build skills and deepen understanding of the disease and how to effectively support patients who suffer from OUD. Zoom videoconferencing Training

ITS is offering a new teleconferencing tool to WSU offices across the state called Zoom. Official access will be offered upon completion of several key integration processes and individual request forms are expected to be available via the ITS service catalog in early July.
