Health Sciences Update episodes focus on medical school, pharmacy college and nursing research

The latest batch of Health Sciences Update episodes are now available and can soon be seen on Comcast channel 17 in Spokane at 8:00 a.m., noon and 8:00 p.m.

Our first episode (above) features Ken Roberts, the Vice Dean for Academic and Community Partnerships in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Roberts gives a great overview of the college’s proposed clinical campus model, which operates underneath the larger community-based model that we’ve written and talked about many times before.

Next, Yvette Roubideaux, the Associate Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Leadership in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, talks about her role in the college. She also touches on her background as an American Indian and member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe who grew up in South Dakota:

 

Our next episode features Cindy Corbett, the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Nursing. Corbett talks about her research on chronic illness, self-management and patient safety during home health care:

 

Batting cleanup is Gary Pollack, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
