Desktop & Laptop Purchasing
Campus ITS can assist individual faculty or staff members with institution-supplied desktop, laptop, and other computing purchases. We can also help departments make larger-scale bulk computing purchases for their entire staff, team, or group.
Faculty, Staff, Departments, IT Affiliates
ITS can act as purchasing advisor for institution-supplied desktops and laptop computers. Our experienced technicians can help you identify your individual or department-wide computing needs, research vendors, and present you with all of the available system options within your budget. Additionally, our technicians may also act as consultants for personal equipment purchases to ensure that new equipment is compatible with the network or other systems.
- To obtain the highest value for our campus, Campus ITS works with several desktop and laptop vendors to provide the most cost-effective solutions for our staff, faculty, and departments.
- Our technical experience allows us to identify both your present computing demands as well as future system requirements to provide the best overall system options for you or your department.
- Providing multiple system and vendor options allows us to tailor a system specifically for your needs while ensuring that your desktop or laptop will be optimal for use on the campus network.
If you’re interested in making a computer purchase, submit a Computer Request Form. For questions, contact the Technical Support Center, located on the third floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 311). Contact by phone at (509) 358-7748 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are no costs associated with desktop or laptop consultation or recommendation. Equipment must be purchased by individuals or departments; costs vary based on vendor pricing and selected system options.
