Film Screening “Below the Belt”

Join our outreach program, Women’s Reproductive Health and Endometriosis, at WSU Spokane. We will host our inaugural event on October 30 at SAC 20, from 6-8 pm, featuring the screening of “Below The Belt”, a documentary film about endometriosis, followed by a discussion on the topic, including menstruation, pain, and reproductive health.

This documentary film, supported by figures such as Hillary Clinton and Senator Elizabeth Warren, raises awareness about the debilitating disease endometriosis and has been screened at many universities.

Agenda

  • Menstruation and Endometriosis – 25-30 min with Kanako Hayashi, PhD, at the Center for Reproductive Biology and Dawn Kopp, MD, MPH, Vice Chair, OBGYN
  • Screening “Below the Belt” – 55 min 
  • Q&A – 30 min

This event is hosted by the Center for Reproductive Biology, the OBGYN Interest Group, Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine OBGYN, and the College of Nursing.
