Nominated and voted for by Spokane and Yakima career-track faculty, Ayesha Ahmed, Dana Algeo-Nichols, Ted Chauvin, and Megan Giruzzi join the WSU Faculty Senate. They will start as campus senators in Fall 2025, ready to serve the interests of Spokane and Yakima faculty. The Faculty Senate represents the faculty community and makes recommendations on matters affecting the general welfare of WSU and its educational, research, and service activities. The newly elected career-track senators join two tenure-track senators, Lois James and John Roll, as well as senators representing each WSU Health Sciences college. Their focus will primarily regard issues that affect faculty regardless of college and work in collaboration with college-specific senators.
