Dr. Yool Lee will be presenting his talk, entitled 'Circadian rhythms in physiology and disease'. Dr. Yool Lee is a Research Associate in the Department of Neuroscience, Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Candidates for this faculty position include individuals from research programs in cancer with special focus on brain cancer and the interactions with sleep, circadian rhythms and/or nutrition (nutritional impacts on cancer metabolism, nutritional underpinnings of cancer, etc.) See complete details here. Join Dr. Steven Hill, who will present the topic, “Disruption of the Circadian/Melatonin Signal Drives Human Breast Cancer Cells and Xenografts to a Drug-Resistant and Metastatic Phenotype.” Dr. Hill is a Professor in the Department of Structural & Cellular Biology at Tulane University and the Director of the Tulane Center for Circadian Biology. Dr. Hill’s major fields of interest are breast cancer and circadian biology, including the role of circadian rhythm disruption and the molecular clock in cancer.
