HRS Training: Paid Sick Leave Requirements

Initiative 1433, which was approved by Washington voters in fall 2016, requires employers to provide paid sick leave to most employees beginning January 1, 2018. Eligible employees will earn one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. This training covers the policies and processes WSU has implemented to comply with the new state law. Dr. Marc Ruben will be presenting his talk, entitled 'Building (and using) a Human Circadian Atlas for Medicine'. Dr. Marc Ruben is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Division of Human Genetics, John Hogenesch Lab. Candidates sought for the faculty position include individuals from research programs in cancer with special focus on brain cancer and the interactions with sleep, circadian rhythms and/or nutrition (nutritional impacts on cancer metabolism, nutritional underpinnings of cancer, etc.) See complete details here.
