Native American Health Sciences Fund

This fund allows the Office of Native American Health Sciences to meet its most urgent needs in the areas of teaching, scholarship, student support, research and community driven initiatives.

Support for the Native American Health Sciences Excellence fund will provide transformational opportunities for Native American students and will aid in student academic success while providing a culturally holistic centered space for our communities to engage.

Robbie Paul, PhD, Scholarship for Native American Students

This scholarship was created to honor the legacy and leadership of Dr. Robbie Paul to help undergraduate, graduate, and professional Native American students enrolled in the health sciences at any of WSU’s campuses. When needed, this fund prioritizes students with the highest level of unmet financial need.

More about Dr. Robbie Paul:
Dr. Roberta “Robbie” Paul (Nez Perce) served WSU and our students for 21 years. One of Paul’s enduring programs that continues to this day is the Na-ha-shnee STEAM Summer Insitute, which takes place in the summer. During her career, she helped to graduate 65 Native American Bachelor of Science Nurses, eight Master of Science Nurses, eight Doctor of Nurse Practitioners, two Doctorate of Nursing, and two Doctorate of Pharmacy students.
