The Childcare Subsidy Program provides funding to support eligible student parents to offset the cost of childcare. This spring, one-time funding is made available thanks to a generous grant from GESA Credit Union in partnership with ASWSUHS.
Childcare Subsidy Requirements
- Student must be the parent and/or legal guardian of the child(ren).
- Child(ren) must live with the parent requesting the childcare subsidy.
- The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 7 credits at WSU Spokane/Yakima.
- Student must be using a licensed daycare/childcare provider in either Washington or Idaho.
How to Apply
- Complete the Childcare Subsidy Application and upload a copy of the completed Childcare Provider Form (PDF).
- All materials are due Friday, March 27, 2026, at 5 PM. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Financial Aid Notice
Due to federal regulations, other sources of funding a student receives, regardless of source, are considered Other Financial Assistance (OFA) and must be properly accounted for. If you are a recipient of financial aid, receiving this award may affect your financial aid package. You are encouraged to learn more about how this funding may impact your financial aid package if you were to receive this award.
