Provost and Executive Vice President Candidate presentation – Mitzi Montoya
Faculty, staff, and students system-wide are invited to meet and help evaluate finalists for the position of provost and executive vice president. Mitzi Montoya will give a public presentation and answer questions during an open session that will be broadcast to locations at each campus. The finalists also will be interviewed by search committee members, faculty, administrators and students. The next provost is expected to be announced in early May. Everyone is invited to attend. In this two-hour introductory webinar to GEO, you will learn about the content and organization of the GEO archive and individual records. In practical examples, attendees will explore data resulting from a strategy that researchers often utilize in functional genomic: perturbation of a single gene and its impact on global gene expression. Jason Halloran, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Cleveland State University (CSU), where he also co-directs the Center for Human Machine Systems, a collaborative group of health related researchers at CSU. Halloran will discuss his research in the simulation of healthy, diseased and surgically corrected human joints, with a particular emphasis on knee biomechanics. See more information here.
