Campus Safety & Emergency Training

On-Demand Campus Safety Training

The WSU Spokane emergency response video explains how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters, technological disasters, and human-caused incidents. This 8-minute video is a solid overview of the campus emergency procedures.

CPR & First Aid Training

In this training, participants will learn first aid skills along with how to perform CPR with or without an AED. Each class is limited to four people. Participants will be required to complete an online portion and then meet with the instructor for the hands-on learning portion of the class. Please contact the Campus Safety and Security Manager for more information and to register for an upcoming training session.

Floor Captain Training

Floor captains are individuals within departments and units across campus who assist with safety education and can provide additional assistance in the event of an emergency. Floor captain training typically occurs once a year, prior to the beginning of the fall semester. If you are interested in becoming a floor captain, please contact the Campus Safety and Security Manager.

Domestic Violence Prevention Toolkit

End the Violence Business Toolkit is a workplace training program that helps employers and employees learn to talk about domestic violence issues in the workplace. End the Violence Business Toolkit is a training program that focuses on helping people know how to recognize and respond to domestic violence in the workplace and to which community agencies they can refer someone for further support.
