Parking On Campus

Parking permits are required in all parking lots every day, 24 hours a day. Parking lots and permits are designated using a two-color zone system: Orange and Green.

  • Orange permits are valid in both Orange and Green parking lots
  • Green permits are valid in only Green parking lots, unless observing the evening park-up rule.  
  • Orange and Green permits are not valid in Reserved spaces and these Reserved parking lots: STHC, IGNITE, HSB, ROP, VETMED, Blue Shop
  • Orange and Green daily permits are valid from 12:00 AM (midnight) to 11:59 PM.

Evening Park-up Rule

A Green permit is valid in Orange parking lots between 5:00 PM and 5:00 AM daily. A “no-permit” ticket will not be issued during these times if a vehicle has a valid/paid Orange or Green permit (hourly, daily, or term).

Parking Permits

Permits do not guarantee a space to park; parking lots may be full. Please read all signs.

Note that no physical permit will be issued. Your vehicle license plate number is your permit. Parking lots are patrolled using a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system. Multiple vehicles may be recorded within one permit, but only one of those vehicles may be on campus at any one time. Tickets are issued for violating this requirement.

Hourly & Daily Permits

Hourly or daily parking permits can be purchased using the QR code pay stations located in all parking lots or the HonkMobile app. Permits are also issued during business hours at the Parking Services Office, located in CCRS.

Student Weekend Permits

Students can purchase weekend permits for $3 per day or $5 for both Saturday and Sunday (until 5:00 AM Monday). These must be purchased in person at the Parking Office, Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Term Permits: Annual, Semester, Quarter

Term permits are available to students, WSU employees, and EWU employees and can be purchased online. WSU employees have the ability to sign up for payroll deduction

Other Permits
