WSU-Spokane IT will be offering training sessions during the month of April covering the basics of Canvas. Each session will be offered a few times a week, running between 1-1.5 hours long, with time built into each session for questions and workshopping in your own course. If you cannot attend live, recordings of the sessions will be made available.

Session 1 – Getting Started in Canvas

In this session, we’ll focus on the first steps to getting your course ready.

  • Export content from Blackboard and import it into Canvas

Session 2 – Assignments

In this session, we’ll take a look at the Assignments tool, learning how to create drop-box assessments in Canvas.

Session 3 – Tests and Quizzes

In the third session, we’ll dive into Quizzes, the Canvas tool used to create test assessments.

In the final session, we’ll review how to navigate the Canvas gradebook’s various features.
