WSU Health Sciences Scholarship Challenge
Your 2024 end-of-year gift can transform the education of tomorrow’s healthcare leaders at WSU Health Sciences. Thanks to the generosity of Susan Stacey, BSN ’84, who has committed $50,000, you can double the impact of your gift between now and December 31 and support students who will make a difference in healthcare.
A Personal Message from Susan
Hear from challenge donor Susan Stacey, Chief Executive at Providence Inland Northwest and WSU Health Sciences Campaign Chair, about the impact of your gift.
Make a Gift
Your support enables WSU to recruit the brightest and most compassionate students into our health sciences programs. Our 2024 challenge has come to a close, but your gift can still make an impact in our programs.
Your Gift Creates Lifelong Impact
Scholarships allow students to focus on their education rather than financial stress. By supporting this initiative, you help remove financial barriers for students pursuing their dreams of becoming your next health professional.
Because of your help, I can worry less about my financial situation and more about becoming the best nurse I can be through my education here at WSU.

Thanks to scholarships, I’ve been able to focus on my studies instead of constantly worrying about tuition and textbooks. Scholarships didn’t just provide financial relief; they gave me confidence and reassured me that people believed in my potential.

I am deeply grateful to have received this scholarship. My goal has always been to pursue a career in medicine. It is my goal to contribute to, educate, and improve the health of our community. Thanks to your generous support, I am one step closer to meeting this goal.

On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to express my gratitude for the scholarship support. It was a challenge to return to school while leaving my wife to be the sole financial supporter for a family of five. This money will go a long way in helping me pay for school while also working part-time to avoid any educational debt in the future. I was drawn to the WSU CON not only because of the locality but also because of the reputation that is associated with the title of a WSU BSN student.

When people donate, it makes me want to give back when I can. The support I’ve received has made all the difference. I grew up in a family that struggled, and I just want to be able to give my daughter and parents the stability they deserve. That’s why scholarships mean so much—they allow people like me to pursue our dreams.

Sometimes I still can’t believe that I have this incredible opportunity. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart, for lessening the burden of loans I will have upon graduation. I am continuously inspired by the dedicated community supporting me and my classmates.
