General Information

Parking permits are required in all parking lots every day, 24 hours a day.
Permits do not guarantee a space to park, parking lots may be full; please read all signs.

Parking lots and permits are designated using a two-color zone system: Orange and Green

  • Orange permits are valid in both Orange and Green parking lots
  • Green permits are valid in only Green parking lots
  • Orange and Green permits are not valid in Reserved spaces and these Reserved parking lots: STHC, IGNITE, HSB, ROP, VETMED, Blue Shop

WSU Spokane/Pullman Reciprocal Parking Agreement

  • The WSU Spokane/Pullman reciprocal parking agreement provides customers the ability to use one campus parking permit at another’s campus (Spokane & Pullman only).
  • Please read the detailed agreement for a full explanation of your responsibilities.
  • If the agreement is not followed, your vehicle will be ticketed.
  • Per the agreement, “The primary campus is the campus where the majority of the University business is being conducted.” Generally, three or more days observed parking on one campus becomes your primary campus.

Evening & Weekend Park-Up Rule | Green Permit Valid

A Green permit is valid in Orange parking lots:

  • Monday through Thursday only 7:00 pm to 5:00 am
  • Friday through Monday only 7:00 pm Friday to 5:00 am Monday

A “no-permit” ticket will not be issued during these times if a vehicle has a valid/paid Orange or Green permit (hourly, daily, or term)

Student Weekend Permits (STUDENTS ONLY)

  • $3 per day or $5 for both Saturday and Sunday (until 5:00 am Monday)
  • Must purchase in-person in Transportation/Parking Office, Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
  • Student Weekend Permit is valid in any Orange or Green parking lot

Ride the Bus: Spokane Transit Authority (STA) has bus stops located on and near Spokane Falls Boulevard. Bus routes serving campus are #26, #28 and #29.

Term Permits | Annual, Semester, Quarter

Please provide your vehicle’s license plate number, state of issue, make & model, color, and year

  • Buy online or at the Parking Office
  • 2023/24 Orange annual: $684
  • 2023/24 Green annual:    $499

  • All pricing includes Washington State sales tax.
  • Vehicle license plate number is your permit, we use a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system.
  • Multiple vehicles may be recorded within one permit, but only one of those vehicles may be on campus at any one time. Tickets are issued for violating this requirement.
  • EWU Spokane employees must use their EWU ID to purchase online.
  • In 2019, WSU Board of Regents approved a three-year parking rate increase.
  • The following permits are not available for purchase online: STHC, Security Night, Custodial Night, Golden Cougar, Disability, Non-WSU & EWU department permits, VA and Work Source.

Hourly and Daily Permits

  • Hourly & Daily permits are available using the HONK app or purchased in the Parking office at 412 E Spokane Falls Blvd; CCRS Bldg., Room 314

  • These signs are in every parking lot.

Parking Rules

All individuals who park on campus bear responsibility to read and understand campus parking regulations. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as grounds for dismissal of parking tickets.
