Tell us about your academic/career goals or why you chose your career path.
I am working on my BSN and would like to pursue my doctorate in nursing. I’m currently undecided on a specialty.

What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
The healing garden. Its very relaxing and beautiful.

What advice do you have for incoming students?
Use your resources. Talk to the faculty, fellow students, and don’t hesitate to get a tutor.

What three traits define you?
Persistent, honest, optimistic

How do you define success?
Doing your best and never giving up. If you don’t succeed at first, take what you learned and do it better the next time.

What are you doing right now to help propel you toward continued academic or career success?
I’m planning to do a study abroad/early community health trip and extern next summer.

What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Never too late to change

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
I listen to music, play a game, or take my dog for a walk. Something to help me relax, make me happy, and help keep my life balanced.

What does it mean to you to be a WSU Cougar?
It was important to me to be a Cougar because it meant I got to stay close to home and family, as well as get a top tier educational experience. I love the program and my cohort.

What or who has made the most meaningful impacts/differences in helping you succeed?
My family has been the most meaningful impact on my success. They encouraged me to apply when I was considering coming back to school, to the point they printed off and handed me the paperwork. They also have offered me continuing encouragement along the way.
