If you want a career in nursing, nutrition and exercise physiology, or speech and hearing sciences, fulfill your core requirements and prerequisites at one of our other WSU campuses a community college, or another accredited institution, and complete your degree here.

BS in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology

Focuses on the effects of nutrition and exercise on human health. Graduates are eligible for the American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Professional certification exam. Another year of study prepares students for the Registered Dietitian credential.

BS in Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences

The Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences focuses on unique training that integrates pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences with health policy and foundational career skills. With top-notch facilities, experienced faculty, and a supportive community, you’ll be equipped to tackle the toughest health care challenges facing us today. Graduates are eligible to apply for continued studies within the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Molecular Medicine, and Medical Doctor (MD) programs.

BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences

This pre-professional program lays the foundation for further study in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. Students learn about the physiological, neurological, behavioral, and psychological dimensions of development, communications, and communications disorders.

Professional Programs

WSU Spokane’s professional programs focus on health care practice in medicine, nursing, nutrition, and pharmacy and build on the advantages of clinical understanding in supportive settings with professional connections and real-world experiences.

Doctor of Medicine

The MD program in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine trains you to be more than a physician. It equips you with a rich breadth and depth of experience that fast-forwards your understanding of the practice of medicine.

Doctor of Pharmacy

The ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program prepares pharmacists to provide patient care in multiple health care settings. The PharmD program is offered at the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane, and at an extension location in Yakima on the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences campus. The program emphasizes patient-centered care, drug therapy and disease state management, and interprofessional health team collaboration.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

This practice-oriented doctoral-level degree prepares nurses to assume leadership positions or work as advanced practice nurses with a specialization as a family nurse practitioner, psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, or in community-based/population-focused nursing.

MS Coordinated Program in Dietetics, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology

The MS CPD prepares students for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) exam administered through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The program focuses on the effects of nutrition and exercise on human health. The interdisciplinary approach allows students to focus on dietetics and develop a solid grounding in principles of exercise physiology, exercise testing, and exercise prescription.
